PREPARATION BEFORE COMING TO US

CONSULTATION

  1. Call our friendly receptionist to make an appointment

  2. Bring your medicare card, health care card, pension and DVA card for sighting during the initial attendance 

  3. Bring your referral letter or imaging if you are uncertain whether we can find them electronically

  4. If you are on CPAP therapy, bring your machine or ask your machine provider to produce the latest data download 

LUNG FUNCTION TEST

  1. No smoking or alcohol on day of test

  2. Avoid heavy meals, caffeine or vigorous exercise 

  3. No Ventolin or Asmol for 4 hours 

  4. Do not wear any tight clothing

HOME SLEEP STUDIES

  1. Come to us to pick up the device

  2. Have your usual evening meal and alcohol beverages

  3. Men should shave unless they have a beard 

  4. Shower, remove any makeup or nail polish

  5. Do not apply moisturizers or oils to your skin

PAYMENT

  • We accept cash, bank transfer, debit and credit card. Surcharges apply for all debit and credit card transactions. 

  • We will claim medicare rebate for you. You should receive it within 48 hours of claiming. 

  • There is an out-of-pocket fee for consultations unless specified by our doctor.

  • Please be reminded that private health insurance does not cover any out-patient consultations.

  • If you need to cancel your appointment, we respectfully request notice 2 business days prior to your appointment time. Missed appointments, or appointments cancelled with 2 business days will incur a fee of $200 without valid reasons.
